6:00pm to 9:00pm. Begin your holiday celebration escaping from the chaos of the season and experiencing the enchantment of Christmas at the "Christmas Wonderland" holiday light display. The "Grandpa Gang" has been at it again transforming Rock Springs Park - into a Winter Wonderland. Visitors can walk through the park on Monday, November 27, - to view more than 4 million lights, cascading waterfalls of lights, lighted trees and displays, snowman village, lighted tunnel, laser display, - and - visit Santa Claus in the Enchanted Forest. The display stretches out over a mile and a half of the park. This is a special walk-through only night, - where only foot/paw traffic is allowed. Dogs must be leashed and well-behaved. The special walk-through night, (no cars allowed), is always the first Monday after Thanksgiving. This year, the walk-through will benefit the United Way. Those who bring a donation for United Way’s 'Community Christmas' will be admitted for free. For those who do not bring items, the $1 per person admission fee will be donated to 'Community Christmas'.

This holiday light display is about 25 miles north of downtown St. Louis.
GETTING THERE: To get to Alton's Rock Springs Park, take the Clark Bridge across the Mississippi River into Alton. After crossing the bridge, turn left on U.S. Highway 67 north (Landmarks Boulevard) to College Avenue. The park is near the intersection of College and Washington Avenues. 
COST: Admission for the walk-through night is $1 per person.
